Ultra MD CO2 Surgical Laser Series – Doryang

The Ultra MD™ laser system features a user-friendly interface, controlled by a microprocessor, making it easy to set up and operate. The sophisticated functions of the Ultra MD™ series surgical lasers include continuous wave, chopped pulse, and super pulse settings—all ready at the touch of a finger—all housed in a convenient, space-saving compact design. The system offers four power options: 40, 40i, 60, and 80.

The MD-40i, a 40-watt isotope CO2 laser with dual shutters, can be operated via an articulated arm or the LEI UltraLase flexible CO2 laser waveguide. The C13 isotope tube has a wavelength of 11.2 microns, preventing the laser beam from being absorbed by CO2 gas. This eliminates thermal blooming and has no impact on tissue interaction. A more focused beam allows for greater power with lower tissue power. The use of a new hollow sub-overlap fiber conduit eliminates the need for special purging gases.
